THEY'RE HERE!

4 girls and 2 boys!

Brandywine - red (female) Bacall - yellow (female)

Blaise - green (female) Bogart - light blue (male)

Baron - dark blue (male) Bianca - pink (female)

What an exciting time! The puppies are united with their Mum for the first time, and look! How DO they know how to do that? Even now, all those little tails are wagging!

Holly is kept warm and comforted while her babies enjoy their first drink...

Cathy hugs and helps the new puppy, and cries at the wonder of it all.....

...while the very capable birthing team takes control

Puppies at 12 days old....they are opening their eyes, and a few are trying to stand up and walk. Already some very distinct personalities are emerging! All are healthy and well, and Holly is a terrific mother! Sebastian isn't really sure if we needed any more dogs around here, but he is gentle and tolerant. Daisy and Georgia think it's great fun, and Grace, the cat, loves to cuddle up with the puppies and help Holly with the grooming.

Some puppies show that they like to be with their littermates... they like company

...for the first three weeks, the puppies stay in their whelping pen in our living room...

Cathy sleeps with them and Holly, so that she can be there if they need her.. she also gets to watch how the pups develop, and to make sure that they get lots of handling and attention..

Bianca likes a more quiet, private space sometimes...

... soon the puppies try to stand and walk on all fours...

Chris introduces Sebastian to his new son...

... the tiny puppies have pink noses at birth...

Puppies are four weeks old and are ready to meet their new families.....how do you decide?

The puppies are starting to play with their toys, and each other....

Families start to meet the puppies .... this is a fun time for everyone, with lots of hugs and kisses...

Puppies visit their vet for shots, checkups and microchips....and get lots of hugs and kisses!
