He has been sleeping on the floor in his crate
with Michael as you know. On the first two nights he needed me in the room too.
He just wanted to suck on my fingers. I crept out after about 1/2 an hour. Then
somewhere around 3:30 he would wake up and whimper. I took him out for a pee
then back to sleep. On the third day I no longer needed to be in the room. He
goes to bed every night with Michael and stays asleep all night. We go to the
farm together each morning and he gets a good play with a Brittany Spaniel there.
I do my chores (he helps with the broom) He is pretty tired by the time we get
home for breakfast. Michael feeds him and has a short play outside. Then asleep
for about 3hours. It is nice because Michael is off school now for almost a
month so we have lots of dog outings planned. Oh yes, when I took Jasper to
Michael's school on the last day, about 6 of Michael's friends came up to cuddle.
It was so cute and he quite quickly picked Michael out of the crowd. So the
bonding has started. We are so pleased. Lots of love Thanks Cathy

Family
Maurice is doing wonderful I took him in to the vets
for his kennel shot and he had lost 5 pounds the poor dog since I shut the daycare
down and i am doing preschool 3 half days a week Maurice s exercise has upped
and his weight was down they said he is in such great shape a pure picture of
health I was so happy to hear it , they said he has perfect teeth very clean
but that is thanks to Charlie it is his job daily to brush his teeth and brush
him , he also went in for his xmas bath and groom and they told me there he
is one of their only dogs they do not have to muzzle and the only one that doesn't
bark in the day , they said he has a wonderful disposition , so thanks to you
guys for breeding my baby and actually Maurice isn't going to be the baby anymore
, he is going to be a big brother come may I was wondering if you know any web
sites or know anyone about the carting I am really interested he seems eager
to pull things like Charlie's stroller and of course he pulls Charlie up and
down the hallway by his pants , they are absolutely inseparable Maurice goes
wherever Charlie goes he guards him when he's in the bath and especially when
we are out they truly are best friends , he still has only barked the once in
his life and shows no interest of doing it again and he loves our time at night
on the couch , I honestly cant thank you enough for him he has bought such joy
love and happiness into our family he even has my husband wrapped around his
paw and trust me that is a tough wrap .
This message is from Fletcher's
Family
Hi Cathy
Just thought I'd give you an update on the big boy.
He is about 115 lbs.now. He has such a wonderful disposition and personality.
I tell people Fletcher never gets mad. He has never growlled, lets kids
climb all over him, and puppies jump on him and bite his ears and he
just rolls on his back. If he meets a tiny dog he lays down and crawls along
on his belly ( sort of so he won't seem too big and scarey to them) We
have had him at the farmers market in Courtenay and he has had a crowd around
him just watching him interact with a tiny dog. He still has the shortest
attention span in dog world and needs to be constantly entertained. When
we first got him I was worried that he wouldn't be much of a cuddler and
couch buddy but wow he thinks he is a cocker spaniel and wants to sit on your
lap. He even starts to whimper if he doesn't think you are cuddling him or
loving him up enough. Of course he is not spoiled in that regard. His eyes seem
to be not so droopy now tightening up a bit guess his head is filling
out, although the one he had abscess is still a bit droopy. We don't know
what we ever did without him he is the light of our lives. Thank you so
much for making it possible.
